I am so glad that we chose Sugarland to bake our wedding cake. Our guests are still raving about that delicious coconut wedding cake! The people at Sugarland are so nice to work with during the planning stage. You are invited to taste all their cakes and if it isn't on their menu, they will make it for you. I don't think there is a cake that they cannot make for you. We had flowers put on our cake and they gladly accepted delivery from our florist and placed them on the cake. The cake was delivered on time and the set up was just beautiful. I highly recommend Sugarland Bakery. Bravo!

We had cupcakes and a small cake topper to cut. The cupcakes were beautiful and several guests told us they were the best cupcakes they had ever had. Great customer service.

The cake was beautiful! It tasted amazing! We ordered a large three layer cake and saved money by buying an additional sheet cake to serve. Beautiful work and delicious too!

Cake was great! Very moist and fresh! My guest went on and on about how good the cake was. Although the most expensive, I am so happy I chose Sugarland to make my cake for this special day.

Laura at Sugarland was awesome! The cake was amazing. She even let me do more than 1 tasting because I couldn't decide on flavors. She was always quick to respond to emails and very readily available to help me. She was wonderful, the cake was beautiful and it tasted completely amazing.

OMG - so delicious!! We did cupcakes and it was so much fun to have all kinds of different flavors!!!
And! They helped me surprise my groom with an AWESOME cake in the shape of an Xbox! The result was so lifelike that some of the guests at first tried to pick up the "controller"! He was so surprised and loved it (the flavor was Guinness chocolate cake with whiskey buttercream...

Our Sugarland Cake for our Washington Duke Inn wedding in March was fantastic! We had Vegan and Gluten-Free family members at the wedding, so we were able to use our additional cakes as part of our Sugarland cake package to accommodate those guests. This made the process much less stressful, as we did not have to worry about alternative desserts for those guests or leaving them feeling out of place. And we were able to use two incredible flavors in the main cake--a heavenly chocolate/liquor mix for me, and a Wimbledon flavor for vanilla lovers. Even my husband James, who is not a big fan of desserts in general, loved the bite he got when we cut our first slice! I've gotten so many compliments on how delicious the cake was--the "best wedding cake" my guests have ever tasted!

Sugarland created a beautiful cake for us on very short notice (less than one week!). We gave them the basic color scheme and theme of our wedding (we wanted it to reflect my culture which is South Asian). Using one of their existing cakes as a basis, they created a beautiful cake with a South Asian paisley/peacock motif in fondant. We got many compliments on how beautiful our cake was and how good it tasted.

Soooooooo delicious. Everyone said it was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. Could not be happier. Be sure to go to one of their tastings. We chose the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and the "mimosa" cake with blood orange buttercream.

If you haven't been to Sugarland before and live in the Chapel Hill area, you must go there at once! They have the best cupcakes I have ever tasted. It was so hard to choose the ones we wanted to serve at our wedding. We settled on the "monkey kiss" and "red velvet" cupcakes and they were a huge hit with some people eating 2 to 3 of them (so order more than you think you will need). The price is very reasonable and probably one of the best values of the wedding!

I'll admit the wedding cake was low on our list of priorities for our wedding (band was higher, sorry!), so we were thrilled to score the 3 tiered cake for $199 deal that Sugarland occasionally offers (I think through bridal shows?). The cake tasted good, but I only had the traditional bite after cutting (too busy dancing). It was a really plain cake, so I'm not surprised none of the guests commented about it. We only had a small amount left, so it definitely got eaten! If you can get the deal, this bakery is definitely worth it!

Katrina and the rest of the Sugarland team did an amazing job with my wedding cake. All of my guests told me that it was the most delicious wedding cake that they had ever tasted! We also met repeatedly with Katrina, who was always very accommodating and fun to work with. And the toppers of my husband and I in our lab coats (we're both graduate students in the sciences), which they made for our cake, were especially cute and really well done. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious and beautiful wedding cake!

Wonderful overall!
The pumpkin chocolate chip for the rehearsal dinner is my favorite, although the tuxedo cake was considered by many wedding guests to be the best they have ever tasted.
Be creative! Have fun! Whatever cake you dream of and design can be done by Sugarland.

We had mini pies, a small top tier cake to cut, and a groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner. Everything tasted amazing! They did a fantastic job with the football design on the groom's cake.

I used Sugarland for my wedding cake and grooms cake. They were very responsive and professional and were able to make the cakes exactly like the pictures I had sent them.
We chose a chocolate cake and a coconut cake for the grooms cake which was delicious and the almond with raspberry filling for the wedding cake. Everyone could not stop eating the cakes- they were so delicious.
The only problem we had was the top of our wedding cake had a huge bubble in the icing and looked a little odd during the ceremony.
I would definitely still recommend them. They were very professional, accommodating and produced delicious and beautiful cakes.

Sugarland did a beautiful job on my wedding cake! We had a 4 tier gluten free chocolate cake with cannoli and chocolate ganache fillings, and none of our guests could even tell it was a gluten free cake.
They also made our Grooms cake- a custom design of beer bottles in an ice bucket- it came out amazing and was a big hit at the wedding. They are very talented.
