River Ridge Golf Club

River Ridge provided the setting for my daughter's wedding reception. The venue is absolutely beautiful overlooking the golf course. The space was remodeled in July, 2011 and is beautiful. We loved every thing about it. Elissa Schubert is the wedding planner there and is absolutely wonderful to work with. She was available for everything we needed and was present at our reception the entire time. She was very flexible in letting us drop our personal stuff off ahead of time and very flexible about letting us pick it up the day after the wedding, instead of that evening when we were so tired. She was happy to cover the tables for us and put out all of our centerpieces. It was nice not to have to worry about that the day of the wedding. We loved working with Elissa and the whole River Ridge Staff. We would highly recommend this venue.

I had my reception there and it was absolutely beautiful overlooking the golf course at sunset. The tree line in the fall was awesome. We really appreciated the flexibility of being able to access the venue the day before the event in order to set up and drop off any items for the reception. They were extremely great to work with and Elissa set up our centerpieces and was sooooo helpful. She pays attention to details so that the day went off great!!!

River Ridge was an amazing venue for our wedding. Couldnt ask for a better place or staff!

Only concern was the danger of the slick dance-floor; perhaps in the future if it rains, the dance-floor should be at the back of the venue - - but, the video shows that everyone had a GREAT time......

Ellissa and everyone else at River Ridge Golf course where great. I'm so glad that my wife decided to have our wedding and reception at River Ridge. Not only was it beautiful but the staff allowed it to be stress free. It was the best time of my life and I would recommend it to everyone that is looking for a place to get married. LOVED RIVER RIDGE!! Elisa was wonderful! If we needed her, she was right there to respond. Even returned a call to us while she was on vacation. Excellent service! And on the wedding day, I made a request for the chairs to be set up in a different way and they didn't hesitate to make it happen.... Our wedding day was BEAUTIFUL and this was definitely the BEST place we could have chosen. :) THANK YOU, RIVER RIDGE!

River Ridge & Elissa we're great!

Elissa & River Ridge were beyond accommodating! Our day was more than we could have ever hoped for and we can thank Elissa & her team at River Ridge for that! We would recommend River Ridge to anyone who is looking for a beautiful venue, wonderful staff and a great time!

Elissa Schubert at River Ridge is probably one of the nicest people i've ever met! She's extremely accommodating, professional and efficient! River Ridge Golf Club is a BEAUTIFUL place to have a wedding! Mine was in May so the weather was perfect!!

My husband and I were very pleased with the river ridge golf club. We only had our reception there and it was beautiful. Elissa Schubert (Event Coordinator) was so sweet, helpful and very professional. She made sure that my event was exactly what I wanted. She was the first and last one there, she helped with setting up and cleaning. I was so impressed with the level of service she provided. Also, she made me feel as though I've known her for ever, i never felt uncomfortable, and never made me feel like we just rented this place for the day, it felt like it was my very own and our guest felt so comfortable. The view was gorgeous. We are considering having other future events here. Mr. & Mrs. Carrington

The River Ridge team made everything easy and enjoyable for us and our guests. We had inclement weather and the team took care of everything and made sure the ceremony and reception met my expectations. The team was responsive to requests and gave valuable input throughout the planning process. This is a great place to host your event and has a great inclement weather backup plan.My only recommendation would be providing transportation for guests, we did not do this which required our guests to plan on their own. Our guests had an 11 mile commute which may be an issue for some brides. This was an afterthought on our part, nothing the the River Ridge team could have done differently.

Elissa Schubert was wonderful to work with. Whatever idea you have she can make it work, or help you find a close alternative. My daughter had LOTS of ideas and they were all met with serious thought by Elissa. She was the calming factor in our hectic day!

Elissa was awesome. I left it all up to her to set up and when we walked in I was taken away. She did an amazing job. It was a wonderful wedding.

River Ridge is certainly a beautiful place for a wedding, and our pictures are amazing and we received so many compliments on the location. Unfortunately, the level of professionalism at the course is lacking. Brides who expect a high level of service and intelligence may want to look elsewhere. The coordinator, Elissa, disappeared for 3 hours before our wedding started to go to a kid's birthday party, and in the end a lot of the set up things weren't done correctly because she wasn't around and didn't bother to ask me when she did return. Also, the boys who wiped off the chairs before the ceremony goofed off while doing it, slapping each other's backsides with the towels as our guests watched. I definitely heard about that the next day from our guests!! Elissa, with a lot of experience at the course, was really scatterbrained during the planning process, jumping from idea to idea without cohesiveness until I had to tell her "Let's review the day chronologically. That makes more sense." She wasn't really flexible with new ideas - she liked doing things the way other brides had done them. For example, I wanted to have a slightly different set up of chairs, but she said it would be too complicated to set up. Ultimately, it's because the boys at the club who do the work for her are not real bright and she wasn't around to oversee to make sure something new/more complicated was done correctly. We got good value for our money as members (half off the rental) but if I was not a member, I wouldn't have paid full price. They acted like the did us a favor by letting us set up ahead of time, but it's because we paid to rent the place the night before for our rehearsal dinner too! Needless to say, we quit our membership the day after the wedding. Pros: Can bring own vendors (which saves money), pretty and private locationCons: Golfers around, lack of professionalism, DOC who's unreliable

I have to say that having my wedding and reception at River Ridge Golf Course was a great decision on my new husband and I's part! It was beyond beautiful, but also an amazingly smooth experience. Elissa was so helpful and very responsive. She handled every question and request professionally, but at the same time always with a smile on her face. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!!

River Ridge was by far the best venue for my outdoor wedding. The events coordniator at River Ridge is wonderful to work with! On the day of my wedding, the planner was by my side doing everything she could to make my day perfect! When my guest arrived at the location, they were all amazed at how perfect my outdoor setting was. My pictures turned out amazing with the various back drop settings (golf green, stair cases inside and out, columns, chairs, etc.) If you want your day to be beautiful and guests to have a great time, River Ridge is a great choice! Im so glad I found it!

We would encourage anyone who is thinking about having an outdoor wedding to meet with the wedding coordinator, Elissa Schubert at River Ridge Golf Club. She created the most amazing day that our family will cherish and remember for a lifetime. From the very first meeting you could feel the warmth she offered along with her patience and expertise in the wedding planning area. Her industry knowledge far surpassed anyone that I had met with in regards to our wedding. We had the opportunity to sit and look at pictures of all the weddings she has facilitated over the last 4 years at River Ridge. She worked together with us to create a wedding that was unique to me and my personality. Making us feel comfortable where I’m sure that most people would have felt overwhelmed. She was always available for questions or meetings as we got closer to the big day. Elissa suggested having all of the groom’s men golf together the day before the wedding, the morning of our rehearsal was a huge hit with everyone! The girls enjoyed decorating the plantation inside and out while the boys golfed. Elissa gave us the opportunity to enjoy every aspect of our big day by taking charge of everything so that I didn’t have to worry about it. The whole weekend was a beautiful experience because of the River Ridge staff. From start to finish it was better than we could have ever dreamed of. The pictures had the most amazing background of the breathtaking golf course and plantation. I felt like a Princess making my entrance down the breathtaking stair case. As you looked around at the guests who attended our wedding as well as the wedding party, all you saw was smiling faces. The teamwork of River Ridge and Elissa gave us our dream wedding.
