Rev Lodge was so flexible with changing and re-scheduling our meetings. Our ceremony was personalized just for us but still had a great religious component. She will do whatever YOU want with a smile. Would definitely work with her again. What a great memorable time!!

Reverend Lodge was very personable and helpful throughout the wedding planning and ceremony. We did not have a wedding rehearsal and Reverend Lodge gave us wonderful detailed instructions before the wedding and cued us throughout to keep the ceremony flowing. I would recommend her to any couple :)

Rev. Barbara Lodge was recommended to us by another nondenominational reverend in the area, and we are very pleased to have worked with her for our wedding ceremony. Rev. Lodge is very personable and seemed truly interested in getting to know us. We chose to have her write a completely customized ceremony for us and it turned out beautifully – it was very “us.” She provided us with a CD that had a large number of sample readings and vows – we chose from those samples but made some modifications. The rest of the ceremony she created. She wove in personal tidbits about us that made us smile and really feel like it was all about us and our relationship. My fiancé and I wanted to do a special ceremony called “Tasting the Four Elements,” and Rev. Lodge wrote the ceremony language completely from scratch around our description of the ceremony. We opted to have Rev. Lodge at our ceremony rehearsal and I’m so glad we did. Our rehearsal was quite chaotic and not well organized, but Rev. Lodge was a very calming and centering presence for me and my fiancé.

Our wedding was on April 21, 2012 at the Carolina Inn. Rev. Barbara Lodge was wonderful to work with, and I would highly recommend her services. I got many compliments on the ceremony, especially the personalized elements that she seamlessly incorporated. Most importantly, Rev. Lodge made me feel at ease. I was very nervous about standing up in front of so many people, but Rev. Lodge clearly laid out what to expect and gave me several valuable pieces of advice. Aside from being a lovely person to sit and talk with, Rev. Lodge flawlessly executed her role in our wedding day.

Barbara Lodge was absolutely AMAZING! We met with multiple officiants before her and she is by far the best. I had multiple questions for her after our original meeting and there was nt one time where her response took more than a few hours. We also had multiple changes to the time for our wedding rehearsal to which Barbara was very accommodating. I would HIGHLY recommend Barbara to anyone!

My husband and I would highly recommend Reverend Lodge. Her positive energy is evident from the first moment you meet her, and she makes you feel completely comfortable as you decide what you want in your wedding ceremony. Reverend Lodge has numerous materials and unique ideas you can use and also is great at running with your ideas. My husband and I are both lawyers (so we are very picky about word choice), but the ceremony she put together for us was absolutely perfect. The ceremony truly reflected both my husband and myself, and everyone at the wedding commented on what a wonderful job she did. Our best wedding decision was choosing Reverend Lodge as our officiant - she is positive, professional, and calming.

Rev. Lodge is absolutely fantastic. She takes the time to get to know you as individuals and as a couple. She writes you ceremony to include these intimate details to make it special. Many guests said that it was the most personal wedding they have been to. She also allows you to add your own touches like music, readings and special rituals.

Rev. Barbara Lodge is a absolutely fantastic person to work with. My husband and I had originally hired a different Officiant but when she backed out due to a scheduling conflict we had to search again and found Mrs. Lodge. Needless to say were glad our previous choice canceled on us. Rev. Barbara Lodge is very professional. I cannot say enough good things about her. But trust me if you hire her you WILL NOT be disappointed!

My fiance and I met with Barbara and knew that she was the one we wanted. She made us feel at home and also very special. I completely understand why she has received the Bride's Choice Award. She made the day of our wedding easy and we enjoyed her presence as we exchanged our vows. She is a wonderful woman and it was a delight to have her as our officiant.

My husband and I spent a great deal of time deciding what we wanted for our ceremony. We are from different religious backgrounds, and we wanted our ceremony to reflect our relationship together and our love for each other. After searching the internet for ministers that would perform non-religious ceremonies and finding the name of Rev. Lodge all of our hope and desires just seemed to be our reality. Rev. Lodge was so kind and open-minded to our vision for our day. Her meetings with us were so fun, and we loved sharing our love story with her. After the ceremony almost every single one of our 146 guests made it a point to say that our ceremony was the most "heart-felt/beautiful/sweet/touching/non-tradition/real/" of any wedding that they have ever been to. Even friends who were just married within the last year shared that this was the most beautiful ceremony that they had ever witnessed. People still talk to us about it. Choosing Rev. Lodge was probably the most important decision that we made throughout our wedding planning process. When you look back at your special day you will not care about what your center pieces look like, if your table arrangements were perfect, and if everyone liked your flowers. You will care about those most special words that you share with your spouse as you promise your life to him/her. Rev. Lodge gave my husband and I memories that we will treasure for a lifetime.

Barbara Lodge was amazing! She helped our ceremony run incredibly smoothly by preparing us well with all we needed to know and guiding people through the big day itself. Above that, she was incredibly warm and we felt very grateful to have her there sharing in our special day. She made it all a pleasure and gave us great piece of mind. Barbara is JUST spectacular! After the wedding is said and done, she is someone we can call a friend. She really took the time to get to know my husband and I during the process. She let us incorporate our own elements into the ceremony, and she really did make our wedding ceremony the absolute BEST part of the day. Barbara is so enthusiastic about her work, and it shows. We really enjoyed having Rev. Lodge officiate our wedding. We were a bit stressed during our wedding rehearsal, but her professionalism and warm demeanor helped calm our nerves. There really are no words to describe how truly wonderful Rev. Lodge was as our wedding officiant. I have never met someone with so much grace, poise, enthusiasm, kindness, understanding, openness and patience. I was truly sad to see the her leave after our wedding ended. I guarantee that you will never find someone as special as she is and she will go out of her way to make your wedding ceremony magical. We included our 5 year old daughter in our ceremony and Rev. Lodge had a way to even make her feel special and relaxed during the ceremony in front of over 100 family members and friends. We paid for our entire wedding ourselves, so we had to really watch the areas that we spent money on. This is the one area that was worth every bit of money that we spent!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!! You are wonderful and we have been blessed to have you there as we began our new lives together as the Merritt family.

Rev. Barbara Lodge was the absolute best choice we could have made for our wedding officiant. I highly recommend her for anyone who is looking for an officiant. She was so nice and sweet every time we emailed or talked with her. She spoke the most beautiful words at our wedding, and the ceremony would not have been so special without her.
