I was very pleased with the service and cake from Maxie B's. I go there all the time to purchase slices of cake and wanted to have them do my wedding cake. Shannon Barbee is awesome to work with on the cake tastings and cake order process. Everything turned out perfectly!

their Strawberry and Buttercream cake is to die for. We had it at my engagement party and it was so good we had to have it again!! Every single piece was eaten at the wedding. The price is fantastic and their wedding contact is very nice and informative. They are willing to work with you to make the cake look like the one you've always wanted at the price that fits. Again, the taste is unparalleled. They are so sweet that they will send you a freshly baked cake on your one-year anniversary!

Maxie B's is wonderful! Shannon was so attentive during our consult, our cakes (we had 3 flavors) were such a huge hit at our wedding to where we had no leftovers!
Our cake design was even more beautiful than we could have imagined! The colors were perfect and the design was unforgettable- our guests complimented our cake so much! Maxie B's handled our cake set-up with our venue and working with our florists and left me totally stress free.
I would highly recommend Maxie B's for wedding cakes and any other cakes!

Beautiful AND delicious! I can't say enough good things about Maxie B's. The cake looked beautiful and tasted amazing. We got the fresh strawberry buttercream cake and received so many compliments on it! I have heard that several people had seconds and even thirds at the reception. Shannon was easy to work with and completely reliable. I also had a wonderful time at the initial cake tasting at the bakery.

Everything from the customer service, to the wedding cake of my dreams...Maxi B' s was absolutely AMAZING. Every single one of our guests raved on about how delicious and beautiful our cake was. They knew exactly how to design a cake (even though I didn't know how to explain my vision to them) that suited our personalities and individual style. I can never thank them enough for all they did to help make our wedding such a magical experience!!!

It was a pleasure to work with Maxie B's. Not only does this bakery make the most delicious cake in the Triad, but they also work really hard to ensure your budget is comfortable. We opted to do a cupcake display for our August wedding. It was so much more impressive and beautiful than I could have ever imagined. They provided a variety of display options (we opted for a set of nine crystal chandelier style cake stands) and a small cake for us to cut. It was a great because we were able to pick several flavors and color options, as well as frosting designs. Our guests loved the beautiful display, but above all, they loved the delicious flavors. After working with them for our wedding, we will be sure to use them for all future celebrations!

Maxie B's was such a great choice for our dessert bar at our wedding! They helped us come up with a variety of great cupcakes, cakepops and even banana pudding! Our delectable treats were all gone before we could finish announcing 'Dessert bar open"! Great company and sweet treats!

We had the best experience with Maxi B's. The decoration was exactly how we wanted and they included our monogram perfectly. The cake, as always was delicious!! The fresh strawberry buttercream is to top notch. I cannot wait for my anniversary cake!! I would definitely recommend them for any wedding. Great customer service and excellent product:-)

This is your Bakery – Look no more!
Maxie B's is the best bakery in town and made the most amazing cake display for our wedding. Shannon, is the Event Coordinator and she is EXCELLENT! Her service, explanations, communication and overall approach is outstanding. The cake is by far some of the best cake I have ever had and will only return to this bakery for all future events and any baked goods I will serve.
We had an original idea and they made it happen. We wanted to do a 170 Cake Pops with a small square cake on top to cut. They made it happen and it was incredible. My Husband built the stand for the pops as he and Shannon worked through any of the glitches along the way. The bakery and Shannon made it easy.
Your only worry will be if they are available for your event so get in early!

I brought 100 mini chocolate chip cookies and 100 mini cupcakes of 5 different flavors from Maxi B's to put on my dessert table. They were absolutely delicious and everyone enjoyed them. Sharon and her staff were very professional and super easy to deal with. The chocolate chip cookies literally melt in your mouth. I will definitely be using this vendor again in the future!

Maxi B's Cake was the best food at the wedding!! Our only complaint is that we had no leftovers because all the guests wanted seconds and thirds! It was absolutely delicious! We had a layer of Birthday Cake and a layer of Chocolate Sin. Both were outstanding!. We did a tasting at the shop which was wonderful and a great way to make choices. We worked with Shannon, who was very professional in scheduling, contracting, helping us with design, executing on the big day, and follow up. I would not hesitate to recommend Maxi B's to anyone!

They were great to work with and so helpful when making decisions about the cake. We had a tasting months before the wedding where we tried many flavors and discussed design and pricing. The birthday cake, chocolate, and pink lemonade flavors were delicious. We also rented a beautiful cake stand from them that was perfect.

I cannot say enough about Shannon and the whole Maxie b's family. My sister and I frequent the storefront often, so when it was time to plan my wedding, there was no doubt that Maxie B's would create my cake. I had the most fabulous cake I'd ever tasted ANYWHERE! I have 3 satellite tiers of moist deliciousness. The bottom tier was lemon almond buttercream (insane!), the middle tier was their special strawberry buttercream (incredible!) and the top tier was cream cheese pound cake with cream cheese icing (delicious!). My cakes were round, smooth tiers covered in gold sugar carnations. My guests kept going back for more. We had NO cake left afterward LOL. Luckily, Maxie B's gives their patrons a gift certificate for a free anniversary cake, instead trying to freeze that top tier. I absolutely love MAxie B's!!!!!!

Being from Greensboro originally, and being familiar with Maxie B's, I knew without a doubt that is who we wanted to do our wedding cake. With a very recent write up in Southern Living on the best bakeries of the south Maxie B's is at the top of the list.
We worked with Shannon who was awesome! I just gave her a picture of a general idea and told her to run with it...it was gorgeous! We received so many compliments from guests who all loved it! As a matter of fact, I believe several out-of-town guests have placed orders at Maxie B's to be shipped to their homes because they loved it so much. And Shannon has been so kind & gracious to make it happen.

We ordered bridal cake (2 flavors) a chocolate groom's cake with chocolate dipped strawberries, and a german chocolate cake for rehearsal dinner - all were sinfully delicious ! Shannon did a fantastic job making sure that we got exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price. The cake stands provided were perfect for the wedding location. Cake tastings were awesome - we really got alot of bang for our buck. You cannot go wrong with a cake from Maxie B's :)
