Mel was amazing!!! I am so lucky I found him to do our wedding flowers! I read his other raving reviews and agree wholeheartedly with them. Mel is a joy to work with, and his expertise was invaluable when he gave me suggestions. One of my main concerns was finding a florist who was budget-friendly, and not only did Mel adhere to my budget, but his creations really surpassed my expectations when I saw them on my wedding day!! I really don't think you can find others who can offer the same quality of work for what he charges. I was blown away by the beauty of his creations and would recommend him to all my friends!

Mel Day at Dogwood Tree Floral Designs was a pleasure to work with. Every single arrangement he made for our wedding day was perfect and even more beautiful than I had hoped for. I chose to do very simple, all white flowers and Mel never tried to talk me into something more elaborate or more expensive. He just created exactly what I had envisioned and was VERY affordable. He was so easy to work with and I could not have been happier with my bouquets, centerpieces and all of the arrangements that Mel created for our wedding day!

Mel was amazing! He is very professional, creative and dependable. He knew what I wanted and wasn't pushy or trying to sell me something I didn't want. He was very responsive and prompt to answer any questions. His work was very affordable as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a beautiful arrangement.

Where do I begin? My husband and I were married during the ice/snow storm in Raleigh on January 30, 2010. We were SO FORTUNATE to have Mel Day from Dogwood Tree Florist arrange our flowers. He even stayed the night in downtown Raleigh the night before our wedding to make sure our flowers were there for the big day, no matter what! We have received so many compliments on our flowers. They turned out beautiful! Thanks Mel for making our special day so beautiful!!!!!

Dogwood Tree Floral Designs helped me create a beautiful and unique wedding. They took my ideas and offered me several suggestions for bouquets, ceremony decor, and centerpieces. I never would have been able to do that on my own! We still get people commenting on how stunning our centerpieces were at the wedding.

Mel was awesome as a florist! He worked with my mom and I to create the perfect centerpieces and bouquets for our wedding! He listened well to what we liked and what we didn't, took notes, etc. He accommodated meeting on a weekend! He matched colors perfectly, he created a bouquet for my bridal shots as well, which showed up brilliantly! Felt a little bit expensive, but it was worth it because everything was perfect, and all the flowers were where they needed to be, on time, for each event, arranged so perfectly!I knew I didn't have to stress with this vendor, because everything would be taken care of. <--and that is priceless when you're planning a wedding!

Mel could have done our flowers with his eyes closed, he is that good. He thinks of everything. Everything was set up for us, hassel free- ready to go! Mel knew what we wanted as soon as we walked in and gave him the names of our other vendors. He has an awesome personality and is really easy to work with!

Mel at Dogwood Tree is fabulous to work with on a wedding. He's very accommodating and has great creative vision. His prices are also very reasonable for the quality of the arrangements and level of service. I would highly recommend Mel to any Raleigh bride. You get all the style of a 9th Street or a Kelly Odom without the ridiculously high prices.

Mel was wonderful to work with and his vision and results aligned perfectly with our wedding. He took the time to meet with us on-site at the wedding location and listened to what we wanted and made several great suggestions that we ended up incorporating into the event. He had to decorate several venues - the outside wedding area, the inside of Historic Crenshaw Hall, and the inside of the outside tented area. I would recommend Dogwood Tree Florist to anyone that wanted a good, solid, and dependable florist.

I am really pleased with the flowers Dogwood Tree did for our wedding. Everyone has made comments about how beautiful the flowers were. I gave the florist a lot of flexibility (just gave some broad suggestions). I wasn't expecting a few of the things he did but really he is a professional and it ended up looking great. I'm glad he thought more outside the box than I would have. Also, this is the best thing about Dogwood Tree, they are SO FLEXIBLE and put no pressure on you to buy more flowers than you need. I felt totally comfortable that I could get as much or little as needed. When I had to add last minute centerpieces, Mel came up with an awesome idea and gave me an awesome price on them. Very satisfied, highly recommended.

Mel with Dogwood Tree Floral Design was absolutely wonderful! I would use him for any event with floral needs. He specializes in events only - so he is NOT a florist. You will get amazing value by utilizing him. By far he was probably the best spend money for our wedding. We only paid $2500 and he was worth $10,000 for everything that he did on the wedding day. I chose pretty expensive flowers and had a large wedding party consisting of 8 attendants on each side. We had over 20 tables at the reception and 10 hi boys outside that were decorated as well. In addition he had created beautiful displays for the outdoor ceremony including 4 VERY large arrangments and a full decorated arch.

Mel really helps to work with you to see your floral and decor vision for the wedding. He also is exceptional with helping you to stay on budget and gives suggestions for many different flower options. He is very responsive, professional, and I highly recommend his services to any bride. You will never find a florist like Mel with such exceptional service at an affordable price!!!
