Damien was a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, did exactly what we asked, offered his perspective and advice on what would work best, and even assisted on a few last minute requests to champion additional A/V for the outdoor portions of our ceremony. We were going to work with another DJ from a friend's wedding, but after hearing frank feedback from that friend, we're so glad we went with Damien. Incredibly professional and even managed to incorporate a lot of our eclectic and borderline schizophrenic states in music. So Damien did a great great job DJing our wedding. I had made some special requests for the wedding day that I wasn't sure if he would be able to implement (recording the audio of our vows and the toasts as well as providing music on multiple floors of the house we got married in), but he had the equipment and the know-how to handle it all. During the planning and the wedding day, we felt completely at ease and knew everything was in good hands. Also, he really did a great job keeping the wedding day focused on the wedding! Sometimes I go to weddings and the DJs sort of try to make a big show of everything and take the focus off the couple. Damien is not at all like that! Everyone at our wedding was so happy with the reception and very pleased with how the whole evening went. But what made Damien so great to work with was his professionalism through the planning process. My wife and I had to plan the wedding remotely, but Damien made it EXTREMELY easy to do so. He was BY FAR the most responsive vendor that we worked with. Many times we had questions along the way, and he literally got back to us within minutes making it so easy to get through our planning. It was a real pleasure to have him DJ our wedding, and I would not hesitate one moment to recommend him.

We wanted someone who would not try to be the center of the show or too loud and obnoxious. Damien was fantastic to work with. He was very responsive and on time to any questions or exchanges. On the day of, he did a great job of keeping our guests out of their seats and on the dance floor. We gave him 15-20 songs as suggestions for our style, and he added similiar ones in based on his expertise and reading the crowd. If you want someone who is so nice, professional, and will leave you satisfied with out all of the flashy-in-your-face annoying get up, he's the one for you!

He is a lot of fun but also very professional and clearly knows what he is doing. Everything about working with Damien as a DJ was very streamlined. They say that the DJ is a "director" of the reception and Damien works hard to put all the options on the table for you, but not overwhelm you. His online 'play list' and 'do not play list' were extensive and easy to manage, and he made sure those things ran smoothly on our wedding day. Also, even on the wedding day nothing has to be set in stone, as we changed our minds about a parent dance on the wedding day and it was no problem. It was so nice to have a DJ who really helped make the wedding day all about us! Everything went perfectly and Damien kept the mood fun and got people up and dancing. Everyone had a wonderful time. We could not be more enthusiastic to recommend Damien as a DJ for your special day. As a videographer Damien was similarly excellent. He had an extra cameraman for work at the Chapel and because Damien was DJing the reception, his extra crew member then filmed the reception. Being followed around by cameras takes a little getting used to, but everyone was professional, nice, and unobtrusive. Rather than a complete video documentary of the wedding day, he put together a 20 minute "highlights" video which was perfect. It was really fun to sit down and re-live the wedding day a little and the length and tempo of the video means we will likely watch it more than just a few times. We could not have asked for a better Wedding Day and much of that is due to the people who brought everything together. Damien did a fantastic job and we would highly recommend him for both DJ and Videography...

Damien is as good as they come for your DJ AND videographer. You can tell that he has years of experience with the way he handled everything. His online wedding tool helps alot but he also meets with you to go over everything in person while making some suggestions you may not have thought of. I've been to a wedding he performed in the past and everything was so smooth and alive that I knew right then he was my man for when we had our main event. I didn't even know that he did videos until I saw my friend's that he put together. He and his assistant were awesome at capturing the right moments and his editing skills are out of this world. Bottom line, you will not be disappointed with his services and that takes a lot of stress away from the event. Thanks Damien!!

Working in the radio industry I have high a standard for DJ's and Damien hands down surpassed them. From the early planing 7 months before our wedding to even after the wedding Damien was always there for us. The dance floor was packed the entire night and he did a fantastic job playing the songs that everyone wanted to hear. He did two video's for us and the quality of his work is 2nd to none. I would highly recommend you call Damien to DJ and video tape your wedding.

WOW. What a terrific decision we made by hiring Damien to DJ our wedding. From the very first moment I spoke with him, he was supremely professional and an absolute joy to collaborate with. Because of his hard work, I was able to relax and actually enjoy my event---he took care of everything! The flow of the evening was perfect because of him. Our guests danced literally the entire night. Damien was completely willing to work with our tastes and customize our music so that our favorites played and so that our least favorites (cough cough...YMCA, Chicken Dance, Cha Cha Slide....) didn't come near our special day. SO SO SO HAPPY to have hired Damien. I give him my highest recommendation!!!!

We had the pleasure of working with Damien not only as our DJ but he also created a beautiful wedding DVD for us. He was professional, has years of experience and did exactly what I wanted. I wanted a fun wedding with a lot of dancing and he got everyone on the dance floor all night! Damien also provided his videography services. The video was amazing and truly captured our special day. I would highly recommend Damien for both services. We were extremely pleased and he truly made our day so much more special. Damien was by far one of our best wedding vendors we used! Damien was great to work with and very lay back but very professional. He really tried to take some of the stress off me but when you have to plan your wedding yourself there is always some stress. I just wish I would have more guests stay longer to party more but unfortunately we had a very small, intimate wedding and the reception didn’t last as long as I would have liked. At some point I turned around and almost everybody had left. There is very little a DJ can do when there is nobody left around to dance. My children and my immediate family made up for that and we still had a great time dancing by ourselves on the dance floor and Damien was very accommodating and asked us several times if there were any songs we wanted to hear. We even got to dance our first dance again that night since we had the room pretty much to ourselves. I would really recommend Damien to anybody looking for a DJ. Next time we have another function (maybe our anniversary) we would hire Damien again to get the party started. �

Damien did an amazing job for our wedding reception and I would absolutely recommend him to others. He was flexible and easy to work with. Due to the busy schedules of me and my fiance, we only ever talked with him by email and phone but he accommodated that and made it simple, and was very understanding of some rather last minute decisions we made on our music! His online site is really easy and helpful as well, you can preview a really big selection of music and make lists of songs for him to play or not play, which he definitely adhered to. I had fun dancing to the songs he played, he kept a good mix and kept people on the dance floor. I also really appreciated how he was pretty low-key and unobtrusive, which was the style we wanted. He made announcements as needed but he did not at any time act like he was the main attraction -- he just used the music to keep the party going instead of talking non-stop, like some events I've been to. Overall, great experience and would work with him again if I happened to need a DJ!

Damien is a CLASS act!. Not only is he a great DJ, but also a great videographer. IMHO, a great DJ, understands his audience, plays great songs, has a great personality and gets along with the people in the crowd, takes requests, and does it unobtrusively. AND, if they happen to just be taking videos too, well even more kudo's. Damien is all of that. As the father of the Groom, I can tell you he was great. When we saw his video - less than 48 hours after the wedding - we were speechless. He did such a great job. Even let me sing 'Paradise By The Dashboard Lights' during the dinner, which got all of us going even more. Damien may be in NC, but when we have our 'next' family event (out of state), i think we'll call Damien! For those of you in NC - GRAB HIM, becuase your party will hopefully be as great as ours was. We loved working with DJ Damien Maass. We planned our wedding from across the country and didn't meet him until the day of our wedding, but he was extremely accommodating, friendly, and professional throughout the planning process and our wedding day. He brought up questions about details we had forgotten and helped make sure our ceremony and reception went smoothly. On top of that, he facilitated an amazing reception without being cheesy or overbearing like other DJs I've seen. AND he made a wonderful wedding DVD for us that we will treasure forever. Damien went above and beyond his job from beginning to end. Damien was able to adapt to our changing wedding plans flawlessly; we changed up the ceremony location twice on him. He provided ceremony music for us and did a perfect job with make sure everyone could hear our music and our officiant without overwhelming the natural setting. Then came the reception...We had an absolute blast!! Everyone young and old came out onto the dance floor. People whom I have never seen dance at a wedding were out getting their groove on. He responded to the cues of the crowd to make the party happen. He did an amazing job with the MC duties. He even played an encore song after our last dance, that was the perfect way to end the evening! The best surprise was that the very next day, he sent us a video of the highlights from our wedding. We had many people who could not join us, and the video perfectly captures the spirit of the entire event. I would highly recommend this DJ for any special occasion that requires DJ or video services!

Damien, DJ'd our daughters wedding at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, in August. Fantastic! Fantastic! From working with us beforehand, on the ceremonial music selections and provision and set up of addition microphones etc, through to the dinner and party. Damien Maass served as our DJ for our vineyard wedding this past May, and he really could not have been more helpful throughout the entire process. Damien was my DJ this past weekend in Raleigh for my wedding. He was absolutely outstanding! Damien was by far the best vendor that I had for my wedding. I would send questions through email or phone calls, and I'd get a response back within an hour each time. He met with my fiance and I before the wedding to meet us and get a feel for who we were - by the end of the night we had laughed hysterically and knew we were completely all set for the wedding. Damien was willing to be flexible and do whatever made us happy. Actually, they were calling for torrential tornadoes on the day of my wedding, and the wedding and reception were set to by outside by the lake. I told Damien I'd love to keep it outside, and he said "I LOVE IT!" and was completely game to keep it outside. He looked out for our best interests. He has an absolute passion for what he does, and it shows in the quality of his work. He has a website with awesome online tools that you can start planning with, and he sticks to the plan. He is NOT the typical cheesy DJ who announces awkward things at awkward times - he sticks to the plan. He got people dancing, and he kept the flow of music very smooth. He showed up early, and he was as professional as could be. Furthermore - you WILL NOT find a DJ the area for the price he offers with such EXCEPTIONAL quality. I searched over 10 DJ's and he had the best price by far - and his work was more than worth the price. Damien will not disappoint you - he is exceptional!
