Located near the Cape Fear River, Brooklyn Arts Center at St. Andrews is a gorgeous church, built in 1888, that has been spectacularly refurbished to accommodate weddings, receptions, and other important events.
The cathedral ceilings soar 50 feet above the sanctuary floor and are draped with fabric that is backlit by a state-of-the-art, LED lighting system that can become whatever color your heart desires. The arched windows are two stories tall, the walls are original brick and plaster, and a large stage sits beneath a 35-foot, North Carolina-pine altar that adds one-of-a-kind beauty to the majestic room. There is seating for up to 220 for a banquet and 300-plus for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Wedding package includes a 12-hour day for the sanctuary, the first floor of the church manse next door (a wonderful 1907 home, with kitchen, dining area, living room, drop-dead dedicated dressing room, and bath), and the large, private courtyard behind the manse, a gorgeous setting for a ceremony, cocktails, and photographs.
