The Town of Holly Springs purchased the property from the Cornell family after Hurricane Fran caused major damage to the lake's dam in 1996. The Town rebuilt the dam and constructed the Retreat Center. The Park opened to the public in October of 2004. Bass Lake Park and Retreat Center provides a natural elegance for your weddng day. The Retreat Center overlooks a 90 acre lake and has an open deck and floating dock. The Park's thoughtfully landscaped gardens provide a colorful backdrop year round. This natural setting will prove a memorable and picturesque location for you and your guests.
